Overview
As Staff Accountant you support the Assistant Director of Finance by handling daily AP operations, month-end processes, and general ledger activities across three entities. You will coordinate with the outsourced AP team and Purchasing, contribute to F&B cost analytics, and assist other finance areas as needed. The role emphasizes accurate controls, timely reporting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a luxury-hotel setting. This is an opportunity to impact cash flow, audits, and financial accuracy within a renowned hotel group.

Responsibilities
- Oversee Accounts Payable daily operations including invoicing, payments, and vendor management
- Review invoice coding, payment batches, and vendor reconciliations for proper authorization
- Monitor vendor accounts and payment schedules; resolve invoice issues promptly
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Receiving, and Operations to ensure accurate processing and expense recognition
- Prepare AP aging, cash disbursement forecasts, and payment analyses to support cash flow
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
- Support internal and external audits with documentation and audit responses
- Assist with month-end close (accruals, journal entries, P&L variance, reconciliations)
- Review F&B costs performance and develop month-end comments and action plans with F&B teams
Key requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, or related field; or equivalent experience
- 2β4 years in Hotel Finance with AP, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Proficiency with Accounting and Procurement software; knowledge of Opera PMS and POS systems
- Strong understanding of AP processes, month-end closing, accruals, and internal controls
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; strong analytical and detail-oriented abilities
- Excellent communication, organizational, and cross-department collaboration skills
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle sensitive financial information
