The Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire is a resort hotel in the countryside, just 10 minutes from the town of Fleet and Farnham and 45 minutes from London. About the role: As Assistant Housekeeping Manager, you will support the smooth operation of the housekeeping department, ensuring that the cleanliness, upkeep, and presentation of our hotel meets Four Seasons’ world-class standards. This role is vital in maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and team engagement.
What you will do:
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department.
- Ensure that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet established cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff to ensure high levels of performance and efficiency.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Address guest concerns and requests regarding housekeeping services in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor and track housekeeping schedules to ensure all tasks are completed within required timeframes.
- Support the Housekeeping Manager with administrative tasks, including staff scheduling, payroll, and reporting.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of housekeeping staff.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure smooth and seamless operations.
What you will bring:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a related role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or management position.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning standards, housekeeping procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to handle guest feedback and resolve issues in a professional and efficient manner.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
