The successful candidate is responsible for providing financial insight, business partnering and commercial analysis that drive revenue growth and margin improvement. The role owns customer-level economics, pricing support, and commercial decision analysis, acting as a key partner to Commercial, Contracts and Data. You will be accountable for revenue management across the organisation and business partnering with the Commercial. This role ensures accurate monthly revenue accounting, delivers insightful forecasting analysis, and upholds strong financial controls.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Commercial & Forecasts
- Oversee the Commercial finance team to ensure accurate invoicing, revenue assurance and contract compliance.
- Work with FP&A to link commercial insights into forecasts and budgets.
- Partner with Commercial under the leadership of the line manager, to contract negotiation, pricing decisions and commercial negotiations.
- Produce regular commercial insight on revenue, margin, churn, and customer.
- Work with the Commercial and Contracts Teams to understand the performance, forecasts and areas of improvement.
- Responsible for building relationships and managing external stakeholders in tandem with the Contracts and Commercial teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in forecasting, revenue recognition processes and commercial data quality.
- Commercial Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Lead customer profitability, contract economics, and pricing/margin analysis.
- Provide monthly revenue analysis and variance explanations against budget and forecast.
- Support management reporting (e.g., revenue by specialism, customer, contract).
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting for revenue streams.
- Collaborate on KPI dashboards (e.g., debtor days, billing lag, cash conversion).
- Provide financial input into tenders, bids and strategic commercial opportunities.
- Challenge pipeline quality, forecast accuracy and revenue performance.
- Stakeholder Management
- Build relationships externally with Customers to manage the commercials.
- Develop robust relationships internally with Commercial, Contracts and Data teams to streamline process and resolve issues.
- Work closely with the Clarity team to build the commercial proposition.
- Revenue Management, Billing and Accruals
- Consolidate patient-level activity data into monthly contract-level invoices for billing and deliver timely and insightful profitability analysis.
- Ensure that product catalogues and prices within Stripe are maintained in a controlled manner.
- Responsible for monthly revenue accruals and reconciliations for activity completed during the month.
- Process weekly transaction data from Stripe and Chrysalis to prepare and post private revenue transactions.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition across all business units and sites.
- Collaborate with operational teams to reconcile site-level revenue reports.
- Support annual audit revenue recognition testing and any other revenue-related queries.
Experience Required
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA Qualified
- Experience in commercial finance and revenue management
- Proven experience supporting commercial and contract teams
- Strong commercial acumen
