We are supporting the recruitment of a Senior Management Accountant to join a dynamic international company. This is a key role within a collaborative finance function with exposure across multiple UK and overseas entities. This opportunity will suit a qualified accountant who is technically strong, commercially minded and thrives in a fast-paced, varied environment. The ideal candidate will bring energy, ownership and a continuous improvement mindset.
You will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong controls, and providing insightful analysis to support strategic decision making across the Group.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full day to day financial oversight for multiple UK and international entities
- Preparation and ownership of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and detailed performance analysis
- Leading and supporting the month-end and year-end close processes, including audit deliverables and statutory reporting requirements
- Production and continuous improvement of Group reporting, including board packs and management reporting insights
- Acting as a commercial finance partner to trading entities and divisional leaders, supporting decision-making and performance improvement
- Support with budgeting and forecasting, ensuring accuracy, challenge and commercial insight
- Involvement in cash flow forecasting and working capital
- Assistance with payroll processes and statutory filings
- Ownership of compliance activities including VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax, and Companies House submissions
- Contribution to capital expenditure analysis and investment appraisals
- Participation in group consolidation and financial reporting at Group level
- Driving improvements in financial controls, reporting quality and operational efficiency across the Group
Key skills & attributes:
- Full qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Strong experience in management accounting, group reporting and month-end ownership
- Proven capability in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
- Experience with modern ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, Business Central, AX)
- A commercially minded approach with strong business partnering skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels
- A hands on, collaborative attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast moving environment
