I am currently recruiting for a Private Equity backed fast-growing, purpose-led organisation. As Commercial Finance Director, this is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving financial performance, supporting strategic growth, and partnering closely with senior leadership across the business. You'll play a key role in shaping commercial strategy, improving decision-making through insight and analysis, and ensuring the business is well-positioned to deliver sustainable growth.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead FP&A activities, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, long-range planning, and financial modelling.
- Develop scenario plans and challenge commercial assumptions to ensure targets are realistic and create sustainable long-term value.
- Own revenue management and forecasting, with accountability for billing accuracy, cash collection, and revenue performance.
- Drive pricing and commercial governance, including pricing strategy, discount controls, and commercial approval processes.
- Analyse profitability and margins, assessing revenue mix, product performance, and contract economics to optimise commercial outcomes.
- Provide executive-level financial insight, translating complex financial data into clear recommendations for senior leadership and the Board.
- Partner with Commercial, Contracts, and Operations teams, supporting sales planning, performance reviews, and strategic decision-making.
- Lead cost management and profitability initiatives, improving visibility of cost drivers and identifying efficiency and margin improvement opportunities.
- Support strategic growth and investment decisions, including business cases, M&A activities, due diligence, tenders, and investment appraisal using NPV, IRR, and sensitivity analysis.
- Enhance reporting, systems, and analytics capabilities, improving KPI frameworks, dashboard reporting, forecasting tools, data quality, and process automation.
I’m looking for significant experience within Commercial Finance, FP&A, or strategic finance leadership roles, experience operating within a large-scale or high-growth business environment along with excellent system and Power BI skills. This is a high-profile leadership role with strong exposure to executive decision-making whilst also giving you the ability to make a genuine impact in a purpose-driven business.
