We are exclusively partnered with a North Manchester based SME in their search for a Management Accountant.
This is an opportunity to support the board of directors and the wider leadership team of a family-owned business by providing accurate and reliable financial information and fully owning month end.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Oversee daily operations of the financial function
- Produce accurate and reliable month end reporting
- Ensure that financial controls and processes are effective
- Management and control of overheads
- Ensure monthly project reporting is accurate
- Produce cashflow forecasts
- Produce financial budgets and forecasts
- Ensure financial records are accurate and prepared in accordance with relevant accounting standards
- Manage the year end external audit requirement
- Manage communication with banks, auditors, and shareholders.
Ideal experience:
- Strong organisational and technical accounting skills.
- Proven experience in a Management Accountant role in a SME environment.
- Ideally experienced working in the construction, contracting, or manufacturing sector.
- CIMA qualification is preferred, but we are also open to qualified by experience, especially if you have experience working for a construction, contracting, or manufacturing company.
- Personable with good communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel experience and be comfortable using ERP systems
This role is offered on a 4 day per week basis, with a full-time salary of £55,000 - £60,000 (this will be pro-rated down to 4 days). You will also qualify for the company bonus scheme and extended benefits package includes pension and health care. This is an office-based role.
