An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and hands on HR professional to join an industry leading business during a period of significant growth. This is an ideal role for a commercially minded HR leader keen to build a People function, working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team.

As Head of People, you will take ownership of the full employee lifecycle and lead all aspects of HR across the business. You will play a key role in developing people strategies, supporting managers, driving employee engagement, and ensuring the business has the right structure, culture, and processes in place for continued success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with the leadership team to understand the business strategy, creating and delivering a people strategy in line with the business objectives
  • Supporting business growth, acquisitions, and organisational change projects
  • Leading employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and performance issues
  • Supporting the business with talent attraction, retention and succession planning
  • Driving employee engagement, well being, and culture initiatives as part of a broader engagement strategy
  • Leading learning and development activities and performance review processes
  • Developing HR policies, procedures, and reporting processes
  • Managing HR operations and administration across the employee lifecycle

The ideal candidate for this role will have previously held a similar senior level HR role, having gained this experience within a scaling business, with experience of supporting through mergers and acquisitions.

A strong commercial awareness, along with a positive can-do attitude and a solutions-focussed mindset are all essentials for success in this role.
