This is a fantastic opportunity for a digitally led agency professional who has built their career in a B2B marketing agency environment and is ready to take ownership of digital strategy across a portfolio of client accounts.

Working closely with the MD and wider leadership team, you'll play a key role in shaping how digital channels are planned, delivered and integrated across the agency, while also contributing to the next phase of growth. This role combines strategic leadership, client consultancy, digital delivery and team management, making it ideal for someone who enjoys operating at both a strategic and hands-on level.

The Role

As Digital Strategy Manager, you'll be the agency's go-to person for digital strategy, helping define how SEO, PPC, paid social, CRM and email are used to drive measurable results for B2B clients. You'll work across both existing and prospective client accounts, building channel strategies, creating digital proposals, guiding campaign delivery and ensuring digital activity is aligned to wider business and marketing objectives. Reporting into the MD, you'll also play an important role in the day-to-day running of the agency, helping to shape internal processes, support team development and contribute to the commercial growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the agency's lead authority on digital strategy and channel planning, advising on where digital activity will deliver the greatest commercial value for clients.
  • Lead the strategic delivery of SEO, PPC, paid social, CRM and email marketing campaigns, ensuring campaigns are integrated, effective and results-driven.
  • Build and present digital strategies and proposals for new business opportunities and provide senior strategic consultancy to existing clients.
  • Design and implement ROI-focused digital programmes across a range of B2B client accounts.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure digital activity is fully integrated with wider brand, content and campaign plans.
  • Oversee external partners delivering website, technical and development projects.
  • Support clients with their wider marketing strategy, ensuring digital channels align to business goals and lead generation objectives.
  • Develop joined-up digital workflows and channel strategies that improve performance and client outcomes.
  • Monitor campaign and channel performance against client KPIs, identifying opportunities for optimisation and growth.
  • Own the quality and production of monthly and quarterly digital performance reporting.
  • Line manage internal digital specialists and oversee relationships with freelancers and external partners.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the agency's digital proposition and offering.

About You

We're looking for someone with a strong agency-side digital background, ideally gained within a B2B marketing agency, who can combine channel expertise with strategic thinking and confident client leadership. You'll likely bring:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in digital marketing within a marketing agency.
  • Current or previous experience working in a B2B marketing agency environment is essential.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of SEO, PPC, paid social, CRM and email marketing.
  • Experience building digital strategies and managing campaign delivery across multiple client accounts.
  • The ability to translate performance data into clear, commercially meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Strong client-facing skills, with experience presenting strategy, performance and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Line management experience and confidence leading, mentoring and developing others.
  • Ideally, experience working with clients in more technical, complex or specialist B2B sectors.

Why Join?

  • Join an award-winning B2B agency with an established reputation and global client reach.
  • Play a key role in shaping the agency's digital strategy offering.
  • Work directly with the MD and leadership team during an exciting period of growth.
  • Hybrid working with 2 days in the office in central Manchester.
  • Competitive salary of up to £45,000 DOE + bonus.
  • Genuine opportunity to progress and help build a growing digital team.
