Part-Time Finance Manager (circa 3 days) Macclesfield- flexible/ hybrid working

Salary: circa £38,000- £45,000 DOE

Are you an experienced Management Accountant or Finance Manager looking for a flexible, part-time role within a dynamic and growing business? We are recruiting for an innovative SME, part of a successful international group, seeking a skilled accountant to support their UK operations based in Macclesfield. In this position you will play a key role in financial planning, reporting and analysis, ensuring the continued success of the business.

Working closely with the leadership team and the wider international group, your responsibilities will include:

  • End to end production of monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting pack to strict deadlines
  • Produce a monthly P&L with variance analysis & commentary
  • All balance sheet reconciliations
  • Journals - accruals, prepayments, depreciation, amortisation
  • Financial analysis - producing a wide range of reports as part of the monthly & quarterly reporting pack sent to the parent company
  • Sales business partnering - producing weekly & fortnightly sales reports for overseas staff to monitor performance against budget
  • Manage & forecast cash flow (3 currencies GBP Euro & USD)
  • Oversee & check payroll
  • Check & authorise supplier payment run and any ad hoc payments
  • Budgeting & forecasting - producing the company's annual budget & rolling sales forecast throughout the year
  • Liaise with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate audits
  • Management & development of 2 staff (Accounts Assistants)

Skills/ attributes:

  • Qualified / part qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or strong QBE candidates considered
  • 2+ years in a similar management accounting role
  • Strong technical accounting skills - strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and management accounting
  • Strong Excel skills essential
  • SME experience and the ability to be hands on in a varied role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders
  • Experience in a multi-currency / international group environment would be an advantage
