Purpose of the role
First point of contact between one major brand or a cluster of smaller brands and Four Marketing. Fundamentally the key account manager and relationship holder with the brands we service from a distribution perspective. Leading with proactive meetings and keeping an open dialogue about the performance of the brand and ensuring a positive relationship is maintained and all cascading elements of customer service are being met. Expected to forecast sales potential, leading in the building and reporting of this to be used by Senior Brand Manager / Brand Management Director. Ensures Brand Assistants are supporting through various administrative tasks.
Main Duties and responsibilities
- Ensure seasonal sales and annual targets are met. Negotiating OTBs with major accounts and indie stores.
- Forecasting sales both on short, medium and long term basis. Producing business plans and development strategy when necessary.
- Customer visits to existing and prospective clients, regularly managing activities to drive sales through, training and stock analysis.
- Remain constantly aware of in store performance – reporting these as necessary.
- Sample management from arrival to return, sample sales, or off-price disposal.
- Stock management, ensuring level of stock within the company tolerance and stock is managed regularly including stock disposal off price partners.
- Provide regular reporting to the supplier and ensure seasonal and market feedback is provided.
- Report sales results and market conditions via approved reporting format.
- Utilise all resources to grow business, press, marketing and trade shows.
- Liaise with the Present (PR) team where relevant or other subcontractors to ensure flow of news and editorial is communicated to customers.
- Ensure all orders are processed as per system guidelines in thorough and timely manner to ensure no delay to delivery. This is supported by assistant brand managers and sales support staff.
- Fully understand the credit worthiness of each potential new and existing client – strong relationship with our credit control department to ensure amber list of those with poor credit are highlighted.
- Ensure designated areas within the showroom are maintained to pleasing aesthetic and in line with brand guidelines supported by showroom staff.
