Purpose of the role
First point of contact between a major brand or a cluster of smaller brands and Four Marketing. The role is the key account manager and relationship holder with the brands we service from a distribution perspective, leading with proactive meetings and keeping an open dialogue about performance to maintain positive relationships and ensure all elements of customer service are met. The incumbent is expected to forecast sales potential, lead in building and reporting on this forecast to the Senior Brand Manager / Brand Management Director, and ensure Brand Assistants are supporting through various administrative tasks.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure seasonal sales and annual targets are met; negotiate OTBs with major accounts and indie stores.
- Forecast sales on short, medium and long term basis; produce business plans and development strategies when necessary.
- Conduct customer visits to existing and prospective clients; regularly manage activities to drive sell‑through, training and stock analysis.
- Stay constantly aware of in‑store performance; report as necessary.
- Manage sample lifecycle from arrival to return, sample sales, or off‑price disposal.
- Stock management: ensure stock levels remain within company tolerance, manage regularly and dispose of off‑price stock with partners.
- Provide regular reporting to suppliers and ensure seasonal and market feedback is provided.
- Report sales results and market conditions via approved reporting forms.
- Utilise all resources to grow business: press, marketing and trade show activity.
- Liaise with the PR team and other subcontractors to ensure the flow of news and editorial is communicated to customers.
- Ensure all orders are processed as per system guidelines in a thorough and timely manner to avoid delivery delays, supported by assistant brand managers and sales support staff.
- Fully understand the credit worthiness of each potential new and existing client; maintain a strong relationship with credit control to highlight those on the amber list.
- Ensure designated areas within the showroom are maintained to a pleasing aesthetic and in line with brand guidelines, supported by showroom staff.
