Key responsibilities

  • Working in a home which supports children with learning disabilities, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Global Delay, and many other special needs.
  • Lead and manage the home and its staff team to provide exceptional care and support for children with mental health needs.
  • Ensure that the home complies with all relevant regulations and standards, including Ofsted requirements and Children Home Regulations.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a dedicated staff team to provide the best possible care for children.
  • Oversee the assessment, planning, and delivery of care and support plans for each child, tailored to their individual needs.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the home, including safeguarding practices.
  • Manage the budget for the home effectively, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Manager/Deputy in a similar setting.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards in residential childcare.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Passion for working with children and young people.
  • Commitment to promoting a safe and nurturing environment.
