Four is looking for a tenacious, travel marketing savvy account manager to join its travel and destination team. You will work across national and regional tourist boards, destination management organisations, cruise lines and visitor attractions, in the UK and in international markets. The role spans integrated destination strategies, consumer campaign activations, trade and sales development, stakeholder work and audience insight. Our work in the sector includes Costa Rica Tourism, Visit Victoria, Tenerife Tourism and Miami.
You will be working at the cutting edge of AI-powered communications. You will bring our clients’ stories to life in an engaging and creative way, across sales and marketing channels. From working closely with trade partners to develop product and programmes to working with brand partners and keynote influencers to communicate client USP’s. You will work with the team to develop annual sales and marketing plans, project campaign proposals to strategic vision and plan development. You will:
- Love travel and be interested in the issues and opportunities across tourism, destinations and the visitor economy
- Enjoy research and be communicating latest trends and ideas
- Have digital and social marketing experience
- Be comfortable using responsible AI to improve efficiency, super-power your delivery and imagine new approaches to client campaigns
- Work with trade partners to grow product and sales
- Be confident at presenting to agents and clients
- Provide on the ground, pre- and post-event support for client events
- Arrange and manage trade fam trips
- Brief internal teams at Four and external media partners on upcoming campaign as well as project manage delivery of activity
- Support integrated campaigns working with our colleagues in media planning and buying, audience research and insight, creative and design, and our culture and place teams
- Collaborate with our AI prompt engineers, insight analysts, film producers, designers and strategists
- Have experience of working on client sales and marketing plans
- Become an integral part of each client team, building excellent relationships with clients and colleagues - arranging weekly calls and ensuring all reporting and billing is up to date
- Track and analyse reporting and results
- Contribute to tender and framework submissions for public sector clients, where much of this work is won
You have:
- Two to four years' agency or in-house experience in travel, tourism or destination marketing
- Experience in working with multiple clients at one time
- A genuine interest in travel marketing, destinations and the visitor economy
- Experience in B2C and or B2B marketing
- Strong campaign/ project management skills
- Commercial awareness and ability to manage accounts profitably and within budget
- Excellent communication skills
- Not required but a bonus if fluent in Spanish, Italian, French or Welsh
- Good writing skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- An eye for detail
- Good knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other general computer skills
- Ready to work with our AI team to develop new skills and work at the forefront of AI in marketing and communications
- Enthusiasm and a proactive, can-do attitude
- Good teamwork skills
- Able to travel in the UK and abroad for work
- Proven B2B PR experience is essential, ideally within the travel and destination sector, with experience delivering campaigns that engage trade, industry and stakeholder audiences.
