We’re hiring a Commercial Lead to join a high-performing, incredibly sharp team in one of the UK’s top-performing tech sales businesses. You’ll be stepping into a well-oiled, commercially mature environment where pace meets precision.
This is a senior role that demands both experience and intelligence. You need to be confident interrogating margin, challenging deal structure, and supporting high-volume sales activity with sound commercial judgement. A sales background is essential, but your favourite part of the job should be the numbers.
We\’re looking for someone from the tech channel or a similar high-growth B2B sales environment, ideally with experience in distribution, value-added reselling, or IT solutions. You’ll be joining a team led by some of the strongest commercial minds in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Pricing, Margin & Commercial Risk — Act as the go-to expert for pricing, margin, and commercial risk across large and complex deals
- Deal Structuring — Challenge and shape deal structures to maximise profitability while enabling sales success
- Sales Alignment — Work closely with sales leadership to align commercial processes with revenue goals
- Margin & Revenue Management — Own margin control across the business line or sales team; analyse deal profitability and flag commercial risks or low-margin activity; provide proactive recommendations on pricing and discounting strategy
- Stakeholder Collaboration — Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Procurement, and Operations to ensure seamless deal execution; influence senior stakeholders with data-driven insights and commercial rationale
- Process & Commercial Governance — Enforce commercial policies and ensure compliance across all transactions; continually refine and improve commercial workflows to streamline sales and reduce friction
- Team Leadership (if applicable) — Coach and mentor Commercial Managers or Execs within the team; act as a sounding board for junior team members and help upskill the wider commercial function
- Commercial Analysis & Reporting — Build and interpret dashboards, reports, and forecasts to support business decisions; present findings to senior leadership, flagging both opportunities and risks; stay up to date on market pricing, vendor programmes, and rebate schemes; ensure the business maximises vendor relationships and commercial benefits
