Elder is an online platform that connects self-employed carers to suitable home care clients. The advantage of being self-employed is that you are free to choose which jobs on our platform you would like to apply for, and which you don’t — it’s totally up to you when and where you work. But being self-employed also means that you are responsible for your own national insurance and tax payments.

As a self employed carer, you will make care decisions independently, in agreement with the client and their family. There is no care manager directing how you should care for your client as Elder is not your employer nor manager.
