Elder is expanding its Live In Care service and is looking for self‑employed Live In Carers to join our platform on a self‑employed basis, contracting directly with families. Providing personalised care, you’ll work directly with the customer to create a schedule everyone is happy with. Your assistance will help older people stay in control and independent for as long as possible, while you form meaningful connections. Carers must be available to live with clients both day and night for a minimum of 7 consecutive days to be eligible for this role.

Indicative earnings up to £865 per week, depending on experience, placement and agreed responsibilities. Customers pay £50 weekly extra for using your own car or £25 per week with a driving licence only. Food expenses are recovered by the family or a weekly allowance agreed directly with them. All travel is reimbursed to and from your placement, including trains, flights or mileage if you drive. You will have your own private room on every placement and access to our dedicated support team to help you use the platform and manage placements. Free access to an external e‑learning platform, helping you build confidence and develop specialist skills at your own pace. Requirements

  • Be able to work independently without manager supervision in the care recipient’s home
  • Ability to commit to placements for a minimum of 7 nights in the care recipient’s home
  • Have at least 6 months professional care experience
  • The ability to pass a background check (enhanced DBS in England and Wales, or a PVG in Scotland)
  • The ability to provide 2 professional references that Elder can verify
  • A good level of spoken English
  • Right to work as self‑employed in the UK (no student or skilled‑worker visas)
