Fountain Frozen are a successful and highly respected manufacturer and distributor of frozen coated vegetables for major retail and food service customers. As the business is developing there is a need to strengthen the production team on site at the Wisbech factory.

PACKER / MACHINE MINDER

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday

Alternate weeks of: 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm

The Role: As an essential member of the production team you will operate machines on the bagging line, completing all relevant checks and paperwork, you will also be required to maintain legislative, Health and Safety, hygiene and production standards.

Responsibilities:

• Packaging finished products
• Completing Quality Checks
• operate equipment/machines e.g. weigh-heads, bagger, metal detectors, check-weighers and case packer efficiently during the day to day running of the shift.
• To consistently check all products to maintain quality.
• To complete all associated paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• To liaise with Engineering about machine breakdowns to reduce downtime.

Skills and Experience:

This is an ideal role for someone who is or has worked as a Machine Minder, preferably working in the food industry (Frozen).

You will need:

• Basic Food Hygiene and H&S knowledge (training provided where necessary)
• Manual handling trained (training provided where necessary)
• Experience working with weigh head baggers, check-weighers, metal detectors and case packers.
• Good communication skills.
• Can multi-task and prioritise.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of production machinery.
• Numerate and Literate.

This is a full-time permanent contract for the right candidate.
