Our software has been used by every Oscar-winner for best VFX and every Emmy-winner for best drama in the past decade. Headquartered in Soho with operations worldwide, Foundry is owned by Roper Technologies, a leading US-listed diversified technology company with ~$8bn revenue, which manages a portfolio of 29 market-leading software companies operating in niche verticals.

The Head of Commercial Finance and Strategy is a critical leadership role responsible for shaping and driving the company’s financial planning, commercial strategy, and data transformation. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), this individual will act as a strategic partner to the CFO and the executive team, combining leadership of the Commercial Finance function with ownership of key corporate strategy initiatives.

This is a broad role, designed for a leader who can drive significant change at scale. The successful candidate will not only lead the modernisation of our Commercial Finance processes, but will also assume strategic responsibilities that are central to our long-term growth. The real opportunity lies in the ability to exercise leadership through influence, partnering across the business to guide strategic decisions, transform our use of data, and manage our future M&A pipeline. This role is pivotal in enabling the company to succeed in its ambition to grow beyond $100m ARR.

Role Responsibilities

  • FP&A & Executive Reporting: Lead all budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking. Deliver high-impact monthly/quarterly reporting and coordinate the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for executive leadership and Roper Technologies.
  • Commercial Business Partnering: Partner with the CCO, CPO, CFO, and GTM leaders to evaluate sales and product performance, shape pricing and revenue models (especially around new AI capabilities), and build business cases for strategic investments.
  • Data & BI Transformation: Transform the Commercial Finance function into a data enablement centre of excellence—establishing a single source of truth across customer and product data while integrating AI-driven insights and self-serve workflows.
  • Corporate Development & Strategy: Steer strategic decisions through market sizing models and competitive analysis. Partner with the executive team to evaluate M&A opportunities, manage diligence, build financial models, and craft Value Creation Plans.
  • Team Leadership & Infrastructure: Mentor and develop a high-performing team, scale the commercial finance tech stack, and embed a culture of commercial acumen, cross-functional collaboration, and accountability.

Requirements

  • Significant senior leadership experience in finance, with a proven track record in a Head of FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Strategy role. Preference for backgrounds in fast-paced, high-growth media & entertainment, software or technology businesses.
  • Experience in leveraging data and AI to solve business challenges, drive operational improvements and deliver clear commercial insights.
  • An inquisitive, proactive, strategic and commercial mindset with experience in corporate strategy, M&A evaluation and execution, and pricing strategy.
  • Deep expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, and reporting within a recurring revenue business model.
  • Proven ability and ambition to drive change at scale and a natural aptitude for leadership through influence across all levels of an organisation.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distil complex financial and strategic information into clear, actionable insights for an executive audience.
  • A recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACA) and/or MBA.
