This role is ideal for someone who enjoys site-based engineering work, problem solving, and working directly with customers across a variety of environments.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, repair, refurbishment and commissioning of mechanical and electrical equipment including penstocks, valves, actuators and associated systems.
  • Working across multiple customer sites, you’ll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, service, repair and commission mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Deliver site works safely and in line with approved RAMS and procedures
  • Diagnose faults and identify replacement component requirements
  • Produce accurate service reports, measurements and documentation
  • Travel daily across your designated region with occasional overnight stays
  • Work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
  • Maintain strong customer relationships on-site
  • Support and guide junior team members when required
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company procedures
  • Complete accurate timesheets, reports and expense documentation

What We’re Looking For

  • Mechanical engineering or field service background
  • Experience working on industrial/mechanical equipment, valves, actuators, pumps or similar systems
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures on customer sites
  • Comfortable working independently and managing workload effectively
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexible to travel regionally and stay away when required
