This role is ideal for someone who enjoys site-based engineering work, problem solving, and working directly with customers across a variety of environments.
The Role
- You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, repair, refurbishment and commissioning of mechanical and electrical equipment including penstocks, valves, actuators and associated systems.
- Working across multiple customer sites, you’ll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, repair and commission mechanical and electrical equipment
- Deliver site works safely and in line with approved RAMS and procedures
- Diagnose faults and identify replacement component requirements
- Produce accurate service reports, measurements and documentation
- Travel daily across your designated region with occasional overnight stays
- Work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
- Maintain strong customer relationships on-site
- Support and guide junior team members when required
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company procedures
- Complete accurate timesheets, reports and expense documentation
What We’re Looking For
- Mechanical engineering or field service background
- Experience working on industrial/mechanical equipment, valves, actuators, pumps or similar systems
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures on customer sites
- Comfortable working independently and managing workload effectively
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Flexible to travel regionally and stay away when required
