Requirements
- 3+ years experience as a platform or infrastructure engineer
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Iaa S and Paa S services
- Proficiency with Terraform, including writing and contributing to reusable modules
- Experience with Git Hub Actions or similar CI/CD tooling
- Solid understanding of Azure networking concepts
- Linux server administration and shell scripting experience
- Power Shell scripting for automation and administration
- Exposure to AVD or end-user compute environments is a plus
- Experience supporting banking or financial services grade infrastructure
- Strong communication skills — comfortable working directly with clients on technical issues
- Detail-oriented, organised and able to work independently
- What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Platform Engineer specialising in Linux and Oracle administration to support core banking solutions running alongside the Foundry OS cloud platform
- This role includes ongoing administration and support of some key Iaa S platforms alongside Foundry OS’s core platform that is critical to the day-to-day running of one of our clients
- You’ll work closely with other Platform Engineers and Support Engineers to ensure these Iaa S platforms are supported, maintained and secured
- Alongside this core part of the role, you will also be involved in the wider Foundry OS Saa S platform with other members of the team.
- This role includes out-of-hours on‑call support responsibilities
- Maintaining the Iaa S server environments used to run core banking applications, including monitoring, patching, performance tuning and general maintenance
- Maintaining the Iaa S database environments (Oracle and SQL Server) used by the core banking applications including monitoring, backups, patching, performance optimisation and general maintenance
- Monitoring troubleshooting maintaining scripts and other batch operations used by the core banking applications
