Ideally, we are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse who has previous experience of working in General Practice; a nurse who is enthusiastic, organised and is confident to work unsupervised.
Salary- Depending on experience
Working pattern - Tuesday 1pm - 6pm & Friday 8.30am - 6pm

The role will include management of long-term conditions, cytology, vaccinations, health screening and health promotion.

Foundry Lane Surgery, based in Seacroft, Leeds 14, has a list size of 7652 patients and is a busy, forward-thinking Training Practice.
Our friendly team includes GP Partners, Salaried GPs, FY2 Trainees, GP Registrars, HCA, Reception & Administrative Team and Practice Manager.
We are also supported by our Primary Care Network colleagues who specialise in the proactive care of our patients within our community. They provide coordinated, pro‑active and integrated services to our community.
Job responsibilities
- Cervical screening and contraception
- Long term condition reviews and health promotion (e.g., diabetes, COPD, BP)
- Baby/Childhood immunisations and other vaccinations
- Wound care and leg ulcer management, dopplers and compression
- Stock ordering and management
- Attend and participate in training and meetings as required
- Adhere to infection control standards and cold chain compliance
- Understand practice and local policies for safeguarding adults and children, referring patients appropriately
- Support the team in dealing with clinical emergencies

Experience
- Experience of working in General Practice and an understanding of the role of a Practice Nurse in a GP Surgery

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Evidence of IT literacy and keyboard skills
- Fitness to carry out duties (manual handling and dexterity)

Qualifications
- Qualified Nurse with current NMC registration
- Full UK Driving Licence
