28.75 hours per week. Monday to Friday - 7:45am to 2:00pm. Term-time only - 39 weeks per year. Actual Annual Salary £18,913.19 (based on £14.75 per hour). Permanent contract.

Gateway Central Services is seeking to appoint a Lead Chef to join our passionate and enthusiastic in-house catering team at Foundry Lane Primary School in producing high quality and healthy meals for breakfast, snack time, lunch and the occasional function.

Responsibilities

  • Have a minimum of 2 years chef experience.
  • Be passionate about creating and serving delicious and nutritious meals to students, staff, and visitors.
  • Encourage and promote healthy eating habits and lifestyles.
  • Prepare various ingredients such as meats and vegetables.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Clean up and sanitise the kitchen area after cooking each meal and at the end of the shift.
  • Work collaboratively with all members of the Gateway Central Services.
  • Be enthusiastic about their own professional development and growth.
