Foundry Lane Primary School is seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join our team, supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the school, working with teachers to plan, organise and support teaching and learning activities for classes. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise whole classes during teacher absence, ensuring pupils remain on task
  • Deliver pre-set lessons and provide clear instructions to support learning
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Support pupils with varied learning needs, including SEN
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil engagement and progress
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment

Key Requirements

  • NVQ 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
  • Level 2 qualifications in maths/numeracy and English/literacy
  • Experience working with students in a formal setting
  • Experience of delivering whole class teaching
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage behaviour calmly and confidently
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to adapt quickly
  • Commitment to supporting pupils’ learning and development
