As Tech Lead / Founding Engineer, you will define the architecture, build the core platform, and shape the long-term technical vision of the company. You will work directly with the CEO across product, strategy, and commercial execution while writing production code and shipping fast.
Responsibilities:
- Architecting and building the core Konduit platform
- Delivering MVP and onboarding early customers
- Feeding into product strategy and commercial goals to identify opportunities to quickly deliver customer value
- Establishing engineering best practices, infrastructure, and security foundations
- Developing the Konduit canonical data model that underpins our platform
- Integrating external data sources to power an intelligent allocation layer
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to deliver product in a tech startup environment
- Experience integrating third-party data providers and APIs in production environments
- Experience working with complex data models and multi-party workflows
- Experience across full-stack web development, data analysis and applied AI
- Appetite for experimenting with new technologies and tools to drive innovation and creativity
- Experience building products in regulated or highly structured industries (e.g., insurance, fintech, payments, health, govtech) would be a big advantage
- Familiarity with compliance-aware system design (auditability, permissions, data lineage, security-by-default)
- Exposure to marketplace, platform, or workflow orchestration systems
- Prior experience as an early or founding engineer at a startup
- Proven track record in architecture, platform development, and shipping production-grade software
- Experience with data modeling, data integration, and working with external data sources
- Strong understanding of full-stack web development and modern AI/ML workflows
- Ability to work with executives and align technical work with product strategy
- Comfort with ambiguity and a fast-paced startup environment
