A long-established not-for-profit organisation is recruiting an Application Engineer to join its growing engineering function as part of a major technology transformation. This is an end-to-end Power Platform role. You'll own the design, configuration, build and delivery of solutions across Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse, working with change teams, business stakeholders and the wider technology function.

The role sits in a new engineering capability with real ownership of the platform, alongside a small team of application engineers across other technology streams.

The work includes:

  • Design, build and deploy solutions using Canvas and Model-Driven Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI
  • Develop data models, entities and business rules in Microsoft Dataverse
  • Integrate solutions with SharePoint, Dynamics 365, SQL, Azure services and APIs
  • Build reusable components, connectors and templates aligned with platform best practice
  • Translate business requirements into deliverable work items with clear estimates, dependencies and NFRs considered
  • Contribute to peer reviews, testing activities and the platform's release process
  • Provide third-line engineering support on priority incidents where needed
  • Monitor platform health using logging, dashboards and alerting tools
  • Help shape the internal application roadmap and embed continuous improvement
  • Source-control all work through Git or Azure DevOps and deploy through managed solution pipelines from Dev to Test to Production

What we're looking for:

  • Good working knowledge of Dataverse, SQL and relational data modelling
  • Familiarity with APIs, REST, JSON and Azure integration tools (Logic Apps, Functions)
  • Experience with version control and ALM tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub, Power Platform Pipelines)
  • Some Power BI exposure for dashboards and data transformation is welcome
  • A good understanding of data protection, GDPR and information security
  • Clear communicator able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

About you:

You're a builder who enjoys owning end-to-end delivery. You're confident designing and configuring on the platform, comfortable joining up with integration and infrastructure colleagues, and you take pride in clean, well-documented work. A degree in a relevant discipline is welcome but practical experience matters more.

The package:

  • Hybrid working from Leeds, with flexibility
  • Permanent role within a stable, mission-driven organisation
  • Significant technology transformation underway with the chance to shape how the platform is built
