We're working exclusively with one of England's largest not-for-profit organisations β a mission-driven business operating across nearly 1,700 locations nationwide. Their technology function is central to everything they do, and this role sits at the heart of an ambitious IT transformation programme.
This isn't a role for someone who wants to live in one corner of Azure. The environment crosses cloud, on-prem, networking, security, and DevOps β and they need someone who's comfortable across all of it. If you've built your career on a solid on-prem foundation and grown into cloud, this was written for you.
What you'll be doing:
- Designing and delivering Azure cloud solutions across a complex, hybrid, multisite environment.
- Contributing to cloud architecture and platform design, producing and reviewing technical designs.
- Leading and contributing to cloud projects, migrations, and platform modernisation initiatives.
- Building infrastructure using IaC and automation-first approaches.
- Supporting hybrid connectivity, networking fundamentals, and identity management across Entra ID and Active Directory.
- Working within an Agile and DevOps-oriented team, collaborating with architects, engineers, and senior stakeholders.
- Ensuring every solution is built for operability β documentation, monitoring, and clean handover are non-negotiable.
What you'll need:
- A genuine on-prem foundation β DNS, networking fundamentals, Windows Server, Active Directory.
- Hands-on Azure experience across a broad range of services β not just one specialism.
- Experience delivering cloud projects end to end, not just maintaining what's already there.
- The maturity and confidence to work independently, engage with senior stakeholders, and be honest when you don't know something.
- Azure certifications are a plus, but breadth of experience and work ethic matter more than the number of badges on your profile.
- IaC experience with Terraform or Bicep, exposure to Agile or DevOps practices, and experience of on-prem to cloud migrations are all strong advantages.
What's on offer:
- Β£55,000 salary.
- Fully remote with occasional travel when required.
- A genuinely mission-driven organisation with long-term stability and a technology function that's actively investing in its people and platforms.
