A major UK not-for-profit is rebuilding its infrastructure team as part of a large technology transformation. We're looking for a hands‑on Azure Cloud Engineer to help consolidate a legacy estate into a single, modern Azure core.
This is a build role, not a babysit‑the‑platform role. You'll be designing and delivering Azure networking at scale, not operating someone else's design.
What you'll be doing
- Designing and building hub‑and‑spoke and Virtual WAN topologies
- ExpressRoute circuit design, peering and redundancy
- NSGs, route tables, UDRs, Private Endpoints and DNS at scale
- Azure Firewall in production
- IaC delivery with Bicep and Terraform through Azure DevOps
What we need to see
- 5+ years genuine hands‑on Azure delivery
- Real Azure networking design ownership (hub‑and‑spoke, ExpressRoute, ideally Virtual WAN), built by you
- A solid on‑prem grounding (AD, Windows Server, networking fundamentals) before you moved to cloud
- Someone who builds it themselves and is honest about what they know and don't
Nice to have
AZ‑700, telephony or VoIP migration experience, regulated or public sector exposure.
