Marina Developments Ltd is the UK’s leading marina operator with several marinas situated at idyllic locations across the UK. We are looking to engage a casual worker to support our team on an ad‑hoc basis at Woolverstone Marina. This role will be a no‑fixed‑hours casual worker contract. Typically, casual work assigned to you will be based at Woolverstone Marina, Ipswich, with potential opportunities to work at other regional sites.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a meet‑and‑greet service to all members and visitors
  • Oversee the berthing allocations of vessels
  • Carry out general maintenance tasks as required
  • Answer the telephone in a timely manner
  • Deal with customer enquiries promptly and efficiently
  • Assist in actively marketing and promoting the marina and associated services
  • Maintain the security of the site
  • Carry out all duties in line with company policies, particularly focused on compliance with health & safety and customer service standards

Qualifications

  • Enthusiastic and friendly with a flexible and positive “can‑do” attitude
  • Previous experience in a customer service environment (experience in leisure/marina/hospitality industry an advantage)
  • Self‑motivated and able to work without supervision
  • Sound awareness of basic health and safety in the workplace
  • Confident use of IT systems
  • A practical, resourceful and common‑sense approach
  • Competent swimmer (essential)
  • Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent

Additional skills that are not essential but are an advantage: general maintenance skills, good practical boating skills and qualifications.
