We are seeking a
CASREP-ICAV Manager/Combat Systems Maintenance Coordinator .
Located on-site at AIRLANT headquarters in
Norfolk, VA .
Duties and Responsibilities
- CASREP-ICAV Manager function supports the Type Commander with tracking the received CASREP messages and follows the course to correction.
The information received is recorded and submitted to the System Commands and is used for analysis and possible trends.
racks all required inspections and assist visits to ensure all required events are scheduled prior to deployment.
- CSMC is a project management function assisting COMNAVAIRLANT with maintenance coordination both in port and at sea, during the entire Aircraft Carrier maintenance cycle beginning at deployment, return to Home Port, Pre-Availability planning, CNO Availability execution, shakedown, work-up cycle and deployment.
- The CSMC is assigned by, reports to, and represents COMNAVAIRLANT Ship's Material Directorate supporting assigned Aircraft Carrier in the resolution of equipment casualties, Availability Planning, Logistics to effect casualty repairs, TYCOM oversight of the Availability/Maintenance Periods providing reports to CNAL N431.
- Coordinates with organizations such as NAVSEA, NAVAIR, NAVWARSYSCOM, PEO C4I, Public and Private Shipyards as applicable.
Qualification/Education Requirements
- BS degree in a technical discipline recommended.
- Highly qualified individuals will be former E-7 and above to include: LDO, CWO with Combat Systems background.
Must have afloat service operating and managing afloat CVN Combat System suites in all aspects of C5I.
Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to get underway onboard CVN. Daily work routine when CVN is import and to be onboard supporting the Combat Systems Officer requirements throughout the ship.
- Attendance at Combat Systems Conferences and Shipyard Project Team meetings.
- Complete understanding of CVN Combat Systems and how to troubleshoot and apply corrective actions.
Must understand Navy modernization process including SCD, Modifications, Project Team execution, Modernization Readiness Assessment, Pre-Installation Check Out.
Understand C5I modernization integration strategy.
Understand redlining/developing Combat System Interface Diagrams (CSID) and preparation of periodic status reports.
Must have excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
Security Clearance
- Must hold an active Department of Defense (Do D) SECRET clearance.
