We are seeking an experienced and proactive Building Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a prominent multi-tenanted commercial office building in Manchester city centre. This is a key role focused on delivering exceptional service to occupiers, ensuring the building operates efficiently, and enhancing the overall workplace experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the operational management of a multi-tenanted commercial property, ensuring a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment.
- Manage and develop on-site teams, fostering a positive, high-performance culture.
- Oversee ESG initiatives, driving sustainability targets and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Build strong relationships with occupiers, delivering high levels of engagement and customer service.
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate occupier events and engagement programmes.
- Coordinate and monitor 3rd-party contractors, ensuring compliance with SLAs and health & safety standards.
- Manage and forecast the service charge budget, ensuring accurate reporting and cost control.
- Support ongoing building improvements, refurbishments, and maintenance projects.
About You:
- Proven experience managing commercial office buildings, ideally multi-let environments.
- Strong knowledge of ESG practices, sustainability frameworks, and data reporting.
- Demonstrated occupier engagement experience with a customer-focused mindset.
- Experience in team leadership and people management.
- Confidence in coordinating and evaluating contractors and service providers.
- Experience managing service charge budgets.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
