The Candidate
As we scale our engineering team, this role offers a great opportunity to help shape the direction of our QA practices and develop robust testing frameworks and standards for a rapidly evolving platform. We are looking for a QA engineer who values quality, enjoys collaboration, and can bring innovative ideas to a new and dynamic team with a focus on catching issues early before they get in to.
What you will be doing
- Working with our engineering team to ensure the quality and functionality of our products.
- Involving yourself early in the process to refine user stories and requirements prior to sprint planning.
- Creating, executing, and maintaining test cases for our front-end application.
- Collaborating on new products and core API platforms to ensure high-quality standards.
- Developing and maintaining automation test scripts using Cypress or Playwright.
- Use Postman to support testing frontend scenarios.
- Actively participating in demos and walkthroughs to offer quick feedback before merging.
- Assisting in shaping our QA culture, standards, and tools as part of our development process.
What we are looking for
Essential
- 3+ years of experience in QA or software testing and APIs.
- Experience with QA on enterprise level products.
- At least 1 year of experience in any automation testing framework.
- Experience with manual and automated testing of web applications.
- Proficiency in either Cypress or Playwright for automated front-end testing.
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman.
- Strong ability to work independently, instinctively take ownership and communicate effectively in a remote team setting.
Desirable
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., CircleCI) to integrate tests within the development pipeline.
- Experience with exploratory testing.
- Implementing cloud based mobile testing via BrowserStack or Saucelabs.
- Familiarity with the QA role in 3 Amigos, Root Cause Analysis and Retrospectives.
- Experience in the healthcare or eCommerce industries.
- Exposure to containerized and serverless application testing on platforms like GCP.
