Senior Management Accountant
Location: West End, London (3 days in office)
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000
Type: Permanent
The Company
Our client is a well-established, privately held business operating across the UK and US, providing management and professional services to high-profile talent and rights holders across the entertainment, sport and media industries.
With around 170 people and a turnover in the £30m to £35m range, this is a genuinely substantial business with real financial complexity, a credible senior finance team, and a culture that moves quickly.
The Role
You will take full ownership of the financial management of one of the company's global divisions, covering both UK and US operations.
This is not a support role. You will own the month-end close, lead the budget and forecasting cycle, manage divisional cashflow, and act as the primary finance contact for both external audit and divisional leadership. You will be expected to challenge assumptions, provide commercial insight, and communicate clearly with non-finance stakeholders in a fast-moving, deal-driven environment.
What You Will Be Doing
- Taking end-to-end ownership of the month-end close for your division, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Preparing and reviewing global management accounts with clear variance analysis and commercial commentary.
- Leading the annual budget and rolling forecasts across UK and US operations.
- Preparing and maintaining divisional cashflow forecasts in close collaboration with operational teams and Group Finance.
- Acting as the key finance contact for external audit, preparing deliverables and responding to queries efficiently.
- Supporting statutory accounts preparation and group reporting requirements.
- Partnering with global divisional leadership on performance, deal activity, cost management and profitability.
- Ensuring strong financial controls are in place and operating effectively across all territories.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance reporting quality and efficiency.
What We Are Looking For
- You will be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), with strong experience in a management accounting or divisional finance role. You will have proven ownership of month-end close and balance sheet control, experience working across multiple entities or jurisdictions, and the confidence to communicate clearly and credibly with non-finance stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with financial systems are essential.
- Entertainment or media industry experience is desirable, as is exposure to US accounting and group reporting in an international organisation. Neither is a hard requirement if you are strong across the other areas.
