We are recruiting for a Workshop Operative to join a specialist workshop based in Manor Royal. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity within a highly regulated environment where quality, precision and attention to detail are critical. Full aviation training is provided, but candidates must bring relevant hands-on experience.
The role will involve:
- Working within a mechanical workshop environment as part of a skilled team
- Operating machinery and equipment in line with strict procedures
- Handling components, tooling and chemicals safely (PPE provided)
- Carrying out service, maintenance and repair activities on aviation safety equipment
- Completing written job cards, inspection records and quality documentation accurately
- Following detailed work instructions, health & safety and quality standards at all times
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience in a mechanical, manufacturing, engineering or workshop environment
- Be familiar with working around machinery, tools and industrial processes
- Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Have a good standard of written English, with the ability to complete paperwork clearly and accurately
- Be reliable, quality-focused and comfortable working to strict procedures and traceability requirements
