Overview
Job Title: Moulding Setter Technician
Reports to: Operations Director
Hours: 40 hours per week (Full-time)
Responsibilities
- Manage the production and packing teams, ensuring all team members work safely and follow agreed processes and instructions.
- Set up production works orders across all moulding machines using defined documentation to meet schedules with a focus on quality, efficiency and a right-first-time approach.
- Physically hang and set mould tools across all machines safely and effectively.
- Monitor production quality and report any concerns promptly.
- Complete all required quality and shift handover documentation accurately.
- Assign tasks in priority order to setters, operatives and support staff, including workflow management through the packing team.
- Maintain a safe working environment and promote a strong safety culture.
- Drive process optimisation and efficient troubleshooting to improve production performance.
- Support team welfare, resolve conflicts and ensure clear communication across the shift.
Qualifications
- Proven technical mould-setting qualification and experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for complex production issues.
- Good organisational and delegation abilities.
- Experience leading and motivating teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety best practices.
