We’re supporting a fast-growing manufacturer in the Medway area that is investing heavily in new production equipment, people and its wider operation. They are now looking for experienced Production Operators to join the team and help run newly introduced automated manufacturing equipment. This is a permanent opportunity with a business that is continuing to expand, invest and create new opportunities across its production operation.
The Role
You’ll play an important part in keeping production running safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Operating automated production machinery
- Preparing equipment for different products and production runs
- Supporting machine setup and product changeovers
- Monitoring production throughout the shift
- Making basic adjustments to maintain quality and output
- Identifying straightforward production or machine issues
- Carrying out cleaning procedures between production runs
- Completing quality checks throughout the manufacturing process
- Completing accurate production and batch paperwork
- Maintaining good housekeeping and hygiene standards
- Following strict health and safety procedures
- Working closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams
- Supporting the introduction of new machinery and processes
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for people with experience in manufacturing, production or a similarly fast-paced operational environment. You do not necessarily need to have held the title of Machine Operator before. What matters is that you are comfortable working around production equipment, willing to learn and confident taking responsibility for your area. We would particularly like to hear from people with experience in:
- Manufacturing
- Food or beverage production
- Pharmaceutical environments
- Nutraceutical production
- FMCG
- Packaging
- Automated production
- Factory or process environments
Experience with any of the following would be useful:
- Operating production machinery
- Machine setup
- Product or format changeovers
- Basic machine adjustments
