Multi-Skilled Engineer – Paddock Wood - Contract or Permanent available
Shifts: Rotating 6am–2pm & 2pm–10pm
Job Summary: I am recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer on behalf of my client based in Paddock Wood. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business, working on a rotating early and late shift pattern. The role involves maintaining and improving equipment, troubleshooting faults, and supporting engineering projects to ensure smooth production.
Your Role:
- Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation faults.
- Support engineering projects, including new equipment installation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Work closely with production and other teams to drive continuous improvement.
What My Client is Looking For:
- 60/40 electrical bias preferred.
- Engineering qualification (HNC, ONC, apprenticeship, or equivalent).
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing maintenance.
- Strong electrical and mechanical problem-solving skills.
- Experience with pumps, motors, steam systems, pneumatics (advantageous).
- Knowledge of safety regulations (IOSH, Permit to Work).
- Computer literacy (Outlook, Excel, Word).
