As the business grows, they are looking to appoint an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join the night engineering team.

The Opportunity
Working across a modern manufacturing facility, you’ll take ownership of engineering activities throughout the night shift, ensuring production equipment and site services operate safely, efficiently and reliably.
This is more than a reactive maintenance role — you’ll help improve equipment reliability, support continuous improvement projects and contribute towards the installation and optimization of new manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
- Respond quickly to production breakdowns and restore equipment safely.
- Identify recurring issues and implement long-term engineering solutions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and OEE.
- Assist with machinery installations, commissioning and engineering projects.
- Work closely with Production and Operations teams to maximise manufacturing performance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system.
- Ensure all engineering work complies with Health & Safety, food safety and statutory requirements.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer with a background in food, drink or FMCG manufacturing.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience.
- Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.
- Knowledge of automated production machinery.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- The confidence to prioritise engineering activities during night shifts.
- An engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent.
- Previous food or beverage manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
