The Opportunity

We're partnering with an exciting and ambitious premium hospitality business that's investing significantly in the launch of a stunning new countryside gastropub and restaurant in Kent. With an extensive redevelopment nearing completion, a talented culinary team already in place and a clear vision to become one of the region's leading dining destinations, this is a fantastic opportunity to join something special from the very beginning.

The calibre of talent already joining the business speaks volumes about its ambition. With an exceptional Head Chef and a team that includes professionals who've worked within some of the UK's most respected Michelin-starred restaurants, there's a real sense of excitement about what this new venue is going to achieve.

The restaurant will bring together exceptional British cuisine, seasonal ingredients, beautifully designed interiors and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, offering guests a premium dining experience without the formality often associated with fine dining.

This is far more than simply another front-of-house opportunity. You'll be joining a business where your ideas, personality and experience will be genuinely valued, with the opportunity to help establish service standards, mentor colleagues and potentially progress into a more senior leadership position.

The Role

Working closely with an experienced Restaurant General Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering an outstanding guest experience while supporting the development of a completely new front-of-house team. You'll be involved from the early stages of the restaurant's journey, helping to create the welcoming atmosphere, attention to detail and service standards that will define its reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver an exceptional, personalised guest experience, ensuring every visitor feels genuinely welcomed and looked after.
  • Support the smooth running of daily restaurant services, maintaining high standards throughout.
  • Lead by example on the restaurant floor, setting the standard for service, professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Support the training, mentoring and development of junior front-of-house colleagues.
  • Work closely with the Restaurant General Manager to establish service standards and efficient working practices.
  • Confidently manage multiple tables and guest requirements during busy services.
  • Handle guest enquiries and resolve any challenges calmly and professionally.
  • Build excellent knowledge of seasonal menus, premium wines, cocktails and the restaurant's food offering.
  • Collaborate closely with the kitchen and bar teams to deliver a seamless dining experience.
  • Contribute ideas and initiatives that help enhance the guest experience and support the restaurant's long-term success.

About You

We're looking for individuals who are genuinely passionate about hospitality and enjoy creating memorable experiences for guests. You'll ideally bring:

  • Experience working within a premium restaurant, high-end gastropub, luxury hotel or similar hospitality environment.
  • Previous experience as a Senior Front of House, Front of House Supervisor, Restaurant Supervisor, Head Waiter, Chef de Rang or an experienced front-of-house professional ready for greater responsibility.
  • An excellent understanding of premium table service and guest expectations.
  • A natural ability to support, mentor and inspire colleagues.
  • Strong communication skills, a warm, engaging personality and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Confidence managing challenging situations while remaining calm and professional.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ambition to develop your hospitality career and potentially progress into management.

Most importantly, we're looking for people who genuinely love what they do, take pride in delivering exceptional hospitality and want to be part of building something exciting.

What's on Offer

  • The opportunity to join a stunning new premium countryside restaurant ahead of its launch.
  • Be part of a significant investment in an exciting and ambitious hospitality destination.
  • Work alongside an experienced Restaurant General Manager and an exceptional culinary team, including professionals with Michelin-starred restaurant experience.
  • Play an important role in establishing the service standards and reputation of a completely new venue.
  • Opportunities to mentor, train and support the development of fellow team members, with genuine potential for career progression into more senior supervisory and management positions as the business develops.
