Our client is a well-established and highly respected Mechanical & Electrical Building Services contractor.

Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join their team based in Washington.

Delivering projects valued from small works through to contracts exceeding £1 million, the company provides a comprehensive range of building services solutions, from full installations to ongoing maintenance programmes.

The Role

As Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple mechanical building services projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

You will work closely with clients, site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and senior management to oversee projects from initial award through to final handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple mechanical building services projects simultaneously.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on programme and within budget.
  • Coordinate labour, materials, subcontractors, and site resources.
  • Attend client, site, and project progress meetings.
  • Monitor project performance, variations, and commercial activity.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety compliance.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Support project teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager within the Building Services sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical installations.
  • Experience managing projects valued up to and exceeding £1m.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and contract management experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
