Our client is a well-established and growing Mechanical & Electrical contractor who are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their expanding team based in Washington.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive electrical estimates for a variety of building services projects.

Applicants with electrical design knowledge alongside estimating experience will be highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed electrical estimates and tender submissions.
  • Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
  • Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Produce accurate costings for projects ranging from small works to contracts exceeding £1m.
  • Support the project handover process to operational teams.
  • Work closely with colleagues within the estimating department to deliver successful tender submissions.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator within the Building Services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical installations and associated costs.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications.
  • Electrical design experience or knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
