Hours: Monday–Friday 8am–6pm + 1 in 4 Saturdays (4 hours)

We are recruiting a Transport Planner to join a well‑established logistics operation in Shiremoor. This is a key role responsible for coordinating daily transport activities, ensuring efficient route planning, and maintaining high customer service standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule daily transport operations to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Coordinate with drivers, warehouse teams, and customers to optimise routes.

  • Maintain accurate records of routes, schedules, vehicle checks, and deliveries.
  • Ensure compliance with transport legislation, company policies, and safety standards.

  • Use logistics software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) for planning and reporting.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong management, leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Experience using logistics or transport planning software (highly desirable).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Previous experience in a transport, logistics, or distribution environment is beneficial.
