About the Role
Due to continued growth, our Client is expanding its project delivery support team and is seeking an experienced Document Controller / Project Administrator to join the Cramlington office. This is a key role at the heart of the project team—perfect for someone organised, detail‑driven, and confident working in a fast‑paced construction environment. You'll support the smooth flow of information from design through to project handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all incoming and outgoing project documentation, including drawings, technical submittals, RFIs, O&M manuals, and specifications
- Maintain structured electronic and paper filing systems in line with company and project requirements
- Ensure document control procedures are followed, including version control and approvals
- Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, site teams, subcontractors, and clients
- Upload, manage, and update documents across platforms such as Viewpoint, Asite, Aconex, or client‑specific systems
- Support audits by ensuring documentation is accurate, compliant, and up to date
- Produce regular reports on document status and outstanding actions
- Manage final project archiving and handover documentation
