Our Client is a leading M&E contractor delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical solutions across commercial, industrial, and public sector projects. They provide full lifecycle building services—from design and pre-construction through to installation, commissioning, and ongoing support.

About the Role

Due to continued growth, our Client is expanding its project delivery support team and is seeking an experienced Document Controller / Project Administrator to join the Cramlington office. This is a key role at the heart of the project team—perfect for someone organised, detail-driven, and confident working in a fast-paced construction environment. You’ll support the smooth flow of information from design through to project handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all incoming and outgoing project documentation, including drawings, technical submittals, RFIs, O&M manuals, and specifications
  • Maintain structured electronic and paper filing systems in line with company and project requirements
  • Ensure document control procedures are followed, including version control and approvals
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, site teams, subcontractors, and clients
  • Upload, manage, and update documents across platforms such as Viewpoint, Asite, Aconex, or client-specific systems
  • Support audits by ensuring documentation is accurate, compliant, and up to date
  • Produce regular reports on document status and outstanding actions
  • Manage final project archiving and handover documentation
