Are you an experienced Electrical Project Manager looking to take ownership of major Building Services projects in the North East? Due to continued and significant growth, our client is expanding its delivery leadership team and is seeking a driven professional to join them in Newcastle.

This is a key leadership role where you’ll manage electrical packages from pre-construction through to handover, lead high-performing teams, and help shape the future of a thriving regional business.

About the Company

A respected and fast-growing M&E contractor, delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical solutions across commercial, industrial, and public-sector projects. They work collaboratively with clients, consultants, and main contractors to provide full lifecycle Building Services delivery—from design and pre-construction to installation, commissioning, and ongoing support.

The Role

As Electrical Project Manager, you will oversee the safe, efficient, and successful delivery of electrical works across a range of commercial construction projects. You’ll play a vital role in client engagement, team development, and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead site and project teams, ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Manage project budgets, reporting, and programme delivery
  • Oversee variations and tender additional works where required
  • Provide technical support to clients and site teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Mentor and develop engineers and supervisors, driving performance and professional growth
  • Build strong client relationships to secure repeat business
  • Support commercial, design, and delivery coordination across multiple contracts

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong experience within the commercial construction sector
  • Proven M&E Project Management background with solid electrical expertise
  • HNC (or equivalent) in Building Services Engineering or related discipline (preferred)
  • Strong commercial, design, financial, and delivery knowledge
  • Confident leadership style with excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive, client-focused approach with a passion for quality and delivery excellence
