Plumber and Pipefitters required for HMP Acklington. This is a Construction Site, not a Live Prison Environment. New Build Site comprising of 4 x Houseblocks & 2 x Plant Compound Energy Centres.
Logistics Note: Secure Parking Available & Shuttle Bus to Site Compound.
Requirements: CSCS Card for Specific Trade.
Site Hours: Mon – Thurs 07.30 – 16.30, Fri 07.30 – 14.00. Overtime Available Mon – Thurs 16.30 – 17.30.
Contract Duration: Start Immediately – December 2026.
Current Requirement: 2 x HTG Engineer/Pipefitter, 2 x Commercial Plumber.
Scope of Works:
- HTG Engineer/Pipefitter: Installation of LTHW System comprising of F&R Run outs to Radiators & UFH Manifolds, installed in a traditional steel screwed system. Needs to be comfortable & experienced carrying out traditional Screwed Style Installation up to DN50 (2”), with possibility of assisting with Plant Room & Energy Centre Installations of prefabricated sections up to DN100 (4”).
- Commercial Plumber: Installation of Domestic H&C Services including 1st & 2nd Fix, installed in Copper Xpress system. Installation of Above Ground Drainage Services including 1st & 2nd Fix, installed in Polypipe Terrain Solvent Weld system. Installation of Sanitary Ware, both Traditional standard contract style San ware & anti ligature Wallgate solution.
Rates: £26 per hour for the first 40 hours to 4.30pm, £36.66 per hour – overtime after 4.30pm.
Incentives: 1 hour Travel paid per day.
