As the business continues to grow, they're looking to appoint an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their night engineering team.

The Opportunity

Working across a modern manufacturing facility, you'll take ownership of engineering activities throughout the night shift, ensuring production equipment and site services operate safely, efficiently and reliably.

This is much more than a reactive maintenance role.

You'll help improve equipment reliability, support continuous improvement projects and contribute towards the installation and optimisation of new manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
  • Respond quickly to production breakdowns and restore equipment safely.
  • Identify recurring issues and implement long-term engineering solutions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and OEE.
  • Assist with machinery installations, commissioning and engineering projects.
  • Work closely with Production and Operations teams to maximise manufacturing performance.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system.
  • Ensure all engineering work complies with Health & Safety, food safety and statutory requirements.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer with a background in food, drink or FMCG manufacturing.

You’ll have

  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience.
  • Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Knowledge of automated production machinery.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • The confidence to prioritise engineering activities during night shifts.
  • An engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent.
  • Previous food or beverage manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
