This is an opportunity to join a production site where maintaining exceptional hygiene standards is critical to protecting product integrity and ensuring operational compliance.
The Hygiene Team Leader will play a key role in leading day-to-day hygiene operations across the factory. Working closely with Production, Technical and Engineering teams, you will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, pest control and housekeeping while ensuring hygiene procedures are consistently delivered across the site.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being on the factory floor, supporting teams, identifying risks and ensuring hygiene standards remain robust within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and support the hygiene team to ensure cleaning schedules and hygiene procedures are completed to the highest standards
- Maintain strong hygiene discipline across the factory floor in line with food safety and compliance standards
- Carry out daily hygiene checks and ensure housekeeping standards are consistently maintained across the site
- Support pest control monitoring and help manage hygiene risks and contamination risks
- Ensure safe handling, storage and use of cleaning chemicals in line with COSHH requirements
- Work closely with Production and Technical teams to ensure hygiene standards support safe and efficient operations
- Support internal audits and help prepare the site for external audits and retailer compliance checks
- Identify opportunities to improve hygiene procedures and drive continuous improvement across the site

Your Background
- Previous experience as a Hygiene Team Leader or Hygiene Supervisor within food manufacturing
- Strong hands-on experience managing hygiene operations in a factory environment
- Knowledge of COSHH and chemical control procedures
- Good understanding of hygiene risks, pest control and contamination prevention
- Confident leading teams and maintaining strong hygiene standards on the factory floor
- Proactive mindset with the confidence to raise issues and drive improvements
