This is an excellent opportunity to join an outsourced Public Sector client in a Logistics Operations Manager appointment. You will have responsibility for several large regional contracts (across England) ensuring all KPIs are achieved and be the main point of contact for your customers/trusts/regions providing UK road transportation services to NHS/Public Sector customers.

The key responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee resources, including strategies for building and updating fleets, hiring, training, keeping, and meeting customer demand based on set performance goals.
- Financial - Responsible for ensuring agreed targets are met within the P&L (overall revenue, logistics earnings/costings, client & team management).
- Act as main point of contact on a national level to develop and exceed customer expectations.
- Ensure adherence to safety, legal, and policy standards through fleet audits, operational safety measures, and meeting health and safety goals and performance benchmarks.
- Provide operational solutions that exceed customer expectations based on set performance goals, including managing fleets and drivers at all locations, handling deliveries, optimizing routes between sites and home drop-offs, while also offering additional services to meet budget goals.
- Assist in developing budget goals and initiatives to seize opportunities through collaborative efforts.
- Effectively communicate and distribute the strategic plan, which is divided into specific, measurable tasks at the site level, to ensure the team understands their roles in achieving the broader strategy and are motivated to perform their tasks with purpose.
- Facilitate the natural expansion of the business by conducting Supply Chain Mapping analyses and developing Joint Account Plans, and by supporting the design and development of solutions for new business ventures aimed at achieving sustainable growth.
- Showcase strong leadership in people by providing coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
- Customer Service - Responsible for the delivery of a high standard of Customer Service against agreed targets.
Person Specification:
- Previous experience of working within a supply chain logistics environment
- Previous experience of specialist vehicle multi customer operation
