Operations Director – Manufacturing Salary: £75,000k – £85,000k package Type: Full time permanent Senior Management Team position Location: Newcastle – Northeast Packaging / Print / POS High speed – volume brand manufacturing This is an excellent opportunity to join a multi-site UK business in new Operations Director appointment. You will have day to day responsibly for a large operations headcount ensuring all production KPI’s are achieved + be the main point of contact for other business leaders. Working closely with the Site Director, you will develop long term plans and imprint your own management style across teams, whilst increasing productivity / efficiency, hitting KPI’s / SLA’s + growing the overall site revenues. Key Areas, * Leadership & People management * Planning, Operations, production & H&S – full responsibility * Hands-on leadership across production / operations * Technology, CI, new machines, automation * Lean Six Sigma and other best practice methodologies * Maximising commercial opportunities and customer results Key Responsibilities: * Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives * Draw on relationships with department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals * Plan, monitor, and analyse key metrics for day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks * Devise strategies for ensuring the growth, and implement process improvements to maximise output and minimise costs * Adhere to the company’s policies and standards, and ensure that industry regulations are being followed * Lead team with integrity to establish and maintain a productive environment * Provide strategic and hands-on leadership across production, engineering, quality and site-level HR. * Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma and other best practice methodologies. * Oversee KPIs & SLA’s through delivery performance and quality * Ensure compliance with H&S and industry regulations * Develop and maintain strong interdepartmental relationships with planning, logistics and sales to ensure customer satisfaction. * Coach, mentor and develop a multi-functional team to foster a culture of performance and accountability.
