This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing specialist logistics organisation in a Transport Manager appointment. You will have responsibility for several large client contracts ensuring all KPIs are achieved and be the main point of contact for your customers, providing support to UK road, Sea & Rail freight throughout the UK / European region.

The key responsibilities:
- Customer Service – Responsible for the delivery of a high standard of Customer Service against agreed targets.
- Driver Management - effective performance management, coach & support.
- Manage MPG performance and driving efficiency records, implement improvement actions where required.
- Responsibility for your fleet WTD & Tachograph Infringements.
- Manage health & safety investigations.
- Monitor and review fleet ensuring vehicle maintenance is planned effectively.
- Customer – develop and maintain productive relationships with regional customer sites and representatives. Ensure relevant KPIs are prepared and targets for performance reviews are met.
- Act as main point of contact on a national level to develop and exceed customer expectations.
- Sales maximisation – Responsible for continual sales maximisation by means of regular contact with all customers.
- Leadership & Management - Responsible for all aspects of Leadership & Management, performance management, coaching, mentoring, engagement, development & communication.
- Manage internal and external customer service against a standard set of KPIs & budgets.
- Adherence to all maintenance related activity working closely with the operations team to achieve full compliance.
Person Specification:
- Previous experience of working within a supply chain logistics environment.
- Previous experience of FMCG multi customer operation.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft / Excel applications.
